How To Track Other Users From My Phone

Family Tracker needs to be installed on each device you would like to track.

• 1. Open the Family Tracker application and click the "Add Contact" button.

• 2. Enter the name and the email address of the person you would like to track. Make sure to use the same email address that they used to register their account with Family Tracker. Click the "Save" button.
  
  If the email address you entered is registered with Family Tracker, you will get a message that a "notification was sent to the remote device...".
  
  If the email address you entered is not registered with Family Tracker, you will get a message that an email was sent to that email address. The email will contain instructions how to purchase and downoad Family Tracker and then to accept your request.

• 3. The contact that was just added will appear in the list with apending status until the person you sent the request to accepts it. A pending status has a grey question mark and the image associated with it will be the Family Tracker logo.
  
  Once the person accepts your request the orange question mark will become a green check mark and the image will change accordingly, depending on the remote device type.

• 4. The remote phone (the person you would like to track) will get a notification in the status bar with your request to track them.

• 5. Once the person you would like to track clicks on the notification, they will see a message from you with the request to track them. They need to click the "Accept" button in order to allow you to track them.

• 6. When the person you would like to track accepts your request, you will get a notification to letting you know. Also, you will notice that their status chnged to green and the image now reflects the type of phone that person has (Android or iPhone) or has their contact picture.
  
  Now you can click on the item to view their location, force an update or send them a free message.

• 7. In addition to the notification, you will also get an automatic email sent to you with a link allowing you to track that person via the web.
